The causes of damage to machines or technical systems often lie in details invisible to the eye. At the Cooperation Laboratory of the Allianz Center for Technology (AZT) and the Gesellschaft für Werkstoffprüfung (GWP), experts assess damages and analyse the quality of materials and constructions.
Damage analysis findings help to enhance products and processes as well as improve the operational safety of systems. The Cooperation Laboratory experts have been conducting analysis for decades using a diverse range of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment to determine the causes of damage, test damage limitation solutions and test long-term damage prevention concepts. The interdisciplinary cooperative work performed by the highly qualified laboratory specialists and responsible experts assists in determining the causes of damage and discovering material faults or weaknesses, thereby detecting and preventing risks before they become an expensive reality.
The Cooperation Laboratory has highly qualified personnel and state-of-the-art equipment for all kinds of analysis and testing, whether for damage analysis, assessment of repair and remedial measures or to accompany process and product developments.
Analysis and testing is about much more than pure damage analysis. Expertise is combined with past findings and, in turn, this knowledge then is used in risk assessment, prevention and damage limitation. With its wide and varied technical possibilities, the Cooperation Laboratory provides support across the board, thereby underpinning the consultation competencies and customer focus of the Allianz and GWP.
